Does the FailBlog have a radio section? 105.3 in Dallas changed formats from “Man Talk” KLLI “Live 105.3″ to Sports Talk early last year and became “105.3 The Fan”. Any radio geek like myself has definitely taken notice of CBS’s sports barrage lately. They’ve had their “eye” recently on Boston, Dallas, Washington, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. The most successful of these has been Washington’s WJFK 106.7 The Fan. Ironically, Dallas may have been its least successful attempt at launching FM Sports. 105.3 The Fan has drawn no ratings and no cume. They thought becoming the new flagship of the Dallas Cowboys would give the station some meaning. The Cowboys aren’t even in the top 10 teams that make the most money off of radio, believe it or not. This in addition to The Fan having no direction as a station. It clearly sounds like another “Live” with a small sporting touch added to it. They’re not doing anything to either KSPN ESPN 103.3 or 1310/104.1 The Ticket. dTo use football vernacular–this station is “on the clock”–or at least it should be. CBS can fix this easily if they actually start thinking out of the box for a change and stop looking at blueprints. Smooth Jazz 107.5 The Oasis must return to Dallas radio. Mega can move to 105.3. The Cowboys can go to KLUV 98.7 (Oldies/Classic Hits) as they were there from 2002 to 2005 since Jerry Jones is that set on always having his team on FM.
